Mike’s Disney career began in 1995 with a role as managing instructor for the entertainment arts division of the original incarnation of Disney Institute at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. During his time, Mike served in a variety of roles in instruction, administration and design. His vast knowledge of TV, radio and animation production made Mike a natural at teaching others about his passion.

In 2003, Mike pursued a position with Disney Event Group as video manager. Managing the video tech and administrating convention and wedding video business allowed Mike to harness his talent while working for the Disney division that creates personalized meeting and event support within engaging content. His responsibilities also included leading a diverse staff of editors and videographers, running edit suites, developing project pricing and working as video producer while managing guest and client satisfaction.

The same passion for communications that first led Mike to pursue a career in broadcasting and then education, ultimately led him back to the Disney Institute team in 2005. He is especially focused on the development and delivery of team building experiences, where he teaches professionals how to work together to become their organization’s greatest competitive advantage. Mike is also instrumental in the creation and management of all Disney Institute webcast products and business.

Before becoming a Disney cast member, Mike spent 25 years in the radio industry. His different jobs included talk show host and on-air personality before moving behind the microphone as an executive producer, program manager and operations manager in the New England area. Mike’s wide range of experience later prepared him to enrich his students as an associate professor of radio production, programming and marketing at Boston’s Emerson College.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre, communication and history from Bridgewater State College in Bridgewater, Mass.
