Session Description:
Ensuring that your long-term care pharmacy is compliant with DEA rules and policy interpretations may require changes in how pharmacists, practitioners and nurses communicate with each other.  Changing behaviors and operating procedures present challenges, but are not insurmountable.  Learn about practical ways to ensure compliance with DEA rules.  Experts will address your issues and provide practical answers to your most common questions.

Learning Objectives:
•    Learn about key legal requirements that govern
the prescribing and dispensing of controlled
drugs for long-term care residents and hospice patients.

•    Understand how to put these legal requirements
into practice in your pharmacy and in the nursing facility.

•    Understand the responsibilities of practitioners and nurses.

•    Get answers to questions about how to
      operationalize these requirements.
