Description of Course
The Clinical Update Workshop is designed to update you on practice changes that have occurred in geriatric pharmacotherapy over the past five years. Using the detailed content outline of the Certified Geriatric Pharmacist examination published by the Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy, ASCP has developed this program as part of the Professional Development Program for CGP recertification.

The course is divided into two segments—a home study segment and a live interactive case study workshop. In order to receive the full 10 contact hours of continuing education, participants must complete at least one practice examination and turn the completed test in at registration for the live course.

The live portion of the workshop is in a case-based roundtable format. Participants will be divided into six groups and rotate through different breakout sessions hourly. Using case-based problems which incorporate various disease states, faculty will facilitate discussion to highlight points from the CCGP Certification Examination in Geriatric Pharmacy Detailed Content Outline.
