About Us

Established in 1982, the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with a unique focus on the development, integration and application of knowledge regarding medication use in the older adult population and the practice of senior care pharmacy to optimize health outcomes.

Committed to providing leadership, innovation, and expertise in medicines and aging to older adults and those who care for them, we believe that building awareness and access to effective medication management will empower individuals to make informed medication choices.

Strategic Priorities

Aligned with the ASCP Foundation’s mission, the Board of Trustees is focused on four distinct strategic priorities.

1. Financial Stability

Generate capacity building to ensure stability of operations to fully realize our mission and vision

2. Research

Identify innovative ways to enhance geriatric pharmacotherapy and advance senior care pharmacy practice

3. Education

Raise awareness and understanding, among patients and consumers, regarding matters related to medication management and safe use

4. Brand Visibility

Position the Foundation as the leading authority on appropriate, effective and safe medication use
