Inaugural Pharmacy and EHR Information Exchange A Success
Thursday, June 29, 2017
On May 2, 2017, ASCP and the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) jointly hosted a successful Pharmacy and EHR Information Exchange Summit in Arlington, VA. Participants in this event included LTC pharmacy leaders from multiple provider groups and the major EHR providers, including Point Click Care, MatrixCare, Sigmacare, American HealthTech, Netsmart Technologies, HealthCare Solutions, Cantata Health, and SureScripts. The goal of the Summit was to identify opportunities that benefit stakeholders of all types, sizes, and geography, with three deliverables: recognition of challenges, a call to action, and future "blue sky" work. ASCP accomplished those goals and is now continuing the dialogue. Last week, outcomes from the Summit were discussed at the LTPAC HIT Summit that took place June 25-27 in Baltimore, MD. Click here to see the quick summary (PDF) of key discussion points and calls to action. A full summary of the Summit will be published in the September 2017 issue The Consultant Pharmacist. If you have any questions or comments about the Summit, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
