New Continuing Pharmacy Education Requirements

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

CPE Monitor, the new collaborative program between the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) is now active.

CPE Monitor is a national e-system currently under development to store and authenticate data for completed CPE units for both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

Instead of producing CE certificates to document your continuing education attainment, YOU will have to provide your unique pharmacist identifier number (and day and month of birth) for each CE activity you complete.

In July 2011, ASCP debuted its new online CE system -- the ASCP Professional Development CEnter -- to accommodate this requirement.

To make this transition easier, we are asking ASCP Professional Development CEnter users to print all statements of credit from the Transcript page of these Web sites.

Please go to the NABP Web site and fill out your e-Profile in order to obtain your unique ID number.

For more information, please visit National Association of Boards of Pharmacy or Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.

When you have obtained your unique identifier number, please go to your member page at ASCP.com (the green tab in the upper right corner), log on, and update your profile with it, as well as with the month and day of your birth.
