The co-sponsor must send all activity-related materials to ASCP for review, editing, and approval. ASCP will announce this activity similar to other educational activities at the meeting. No information about the activity is to be mailed or otherwise disseminated prior to ASCP review.
ASCP will be announcing the CPE activities offered at the meeting in the following ways:
ASCP does not allow underwriters or the designated medical education companies of inside symposia to distribute leaflets, food, brochures, journal advertisements or other materials to ASCP members to announce the symposium. Such activities may deemed promotional in nature and therefore significantly affect the original purpose and intent of this form of educational activity.
Symposia activities selected by ASCP for presentation at ASCP's 42nd Annual Meeting and Exhibition will be invoiced for the balance due upon confirmation. At the point of confirmation, the $1,000 deposit becomes non-refundable. Withdrawal of activities after confirmation will be subject to the following policy: activities withdrawn 1 week after confirmation may receive 50% of the balance of the symposium fee; cancellations will not be accepted after 2 weeks from confirmation and the balance of symposium fee becomes non-refundable.
