The mission of the ASCP Educational Department is to identify needs and provide competency-based live and home study learning activities that assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in maintaining and enhancing their professional competencies in the following key areas, especially as they relate to senior care and geriatric pharmacy practice:

  • clinical problem solving and decision-making,
  • disease state and therapeutic knowledge/application,
  • leadership and entrepreneurship advancing practice, and
  • the ever-changing pharmacy legal, technical, and regulatory environment.

The continuing pharmacy education provided by ASCP shall be applicable to the practice of pharmacy through its focus on evidence-based medicine for the delivery of patient-centered care and public health as part of the interprofessional health-care team, and focus on continually enhancing the quality of care for all older persons through the appropriate use of medication and the promotion of healthy aging.

Please note that we have a limited number of CE credits approved by the FL Board of Pharmacy; not all of our CE is FL Pharmacist Consultant License board-approved. Please see the box entitled, "FLORIDA APPROVED CONSULTANT PHARMACIST ACTIVITIES" for the courses that are approved by Florida BOP.

Important CE Reminders

ASCP offices will be closed from noon on December 24 through January 1 reopening during regular business hours on January 2. We recommend completing your CPE, Florida Consultant Credits, and/or BCGP credits before the week of December 23 to ensure that ASCP staff will be here to assist you.
