Congratulations Diamond Pharmacy Services!

The American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Foundation (ASCP Foundation) is pleased to announce that the 2018 Herb Langsam Pharmacy Provider Services Award has been conferred to Diamond Pharmacy Services for their distinguished “Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP).” Bestowed annually by the Foundation, the Herb Langsam Pharmacy Services Award acknowledges a pharmacy organization that is an exemplary provider of pharmacy services.

Diamond, established in 1970 as a provider of retail pharmacy services, has grown into the nation’s largest correctional pharmacy provider and Pennsylvania’s largest independently owned long term care pharmacy.

2018 ASCP Foundation Pharmacy Hero Fundraiser - National Harbor, MD

Donate to the ASCP Foundation and be a champion promoter of healthy aging.

The ASCP Foundation’s annual fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the 2018 ASCP Annual Meeting in National Harbor, MD. Donations will be accepted online or on-site at the meeting. Make a donation to the Foundation, and get recognized as an “Everyday Pharmacy Hero” on our hero wall in the exhibit hall. All supporters who donate $25 or more, are invited to the Foundation booth to sit for a caricature that illustrates their true Pharmacy Hero persona. Make your tax deductible donation today and help support education and awareness of Consultant Pharmacy practice as we foster appropriate, effective and safe medication use in older adults.

The ASCP Foundation Board of Trustees is Seeking Volunteer Leaders.

Submit your application to sit on the Board of Trustees and help us further our mission to foster appropriate, effective, and safe medication use in older persons. Current openings for the new term, beginning November 1, 2018 include:

Selection criteria will include leadership and senior care experience; written responses to questions posed on the application; and other factors that indicate that a candidate is uniquely qualified to serve. Senior Care Pharmacist Directory Launched April 30, 2018

ASCP's new Senior Care Pharmacist Directory launched to the public on April 30, 2018. The directory allows older adults, caregivers, and health care service providers to search by state for a senior care pharmacist. YOU can help support safe and effective medication therapy management in the community. Click here to search for a senior care pharmacist in your area to help manage your medications. 2017 ASCP Annual Meeting Was Picture Perfect

The 2017 ASCP Annual Meeting and Exhibition provided the ideal venue for the ASCP Foundation to spend time with Society members, share their passion for the practice of senior care pharmacy, debut the new website, and raise awareness for their mission. To further the work of the Foundation, a “Headshot” fundraiser was held during exhibit hours. Approximately 100 attendees donated and participated in the activity. A big thank to you to everyone that helped make this a fun and successful event.

Applications are being accepted for the 2018 Herb Langsam Pharmacy Provider Services Award

Bestowed annually, this award recognizes a pharmacy organization that is an exemplary provider of pharmacy services to residents and patients dwelling in the post-acute, long-term care, assisted living, or community settings. Award recipients are proven to provide innovative solutions to improve the quality of pharmacy services and care to the most vulnerable patient populations.
