ASCP has a series of new advisory focus groups representing different industry sectors. These groups are a way for members to network and share ideas virtually and in person at ASCP national meetings. Home and Community-Based Consultant PharmacistsThis group (formerly titled "Private Practice Network/PPN") is established to enable the mutual sharing of experience and expertise among senior care pharmacists in the home and community-based settings. The goals of this group are to:
Consultant Pharmacist OperatorsThis is a group of about 15-20 consultant pharmacists who own and operate an independent LTC clinical and consultant practice. These practitioners contract directly with nursing home operators to do monthly drug regimen reviews and in many cases medication reviews at time of admission and discharge to home. These focus groups are designed for practicing pharmacists and industry leaders who fit the group’s descriptions. Sales representatives will not be permitted to attend or audit focus group meetings, unless as part of a pre-arranged sponsorship.Nursing Home Pharmacy ExecutivesThis program is specifically for pharmacist executives employed by regional or national skilled nursing and assisted living providers. This is a must attend for pharmacists responsible for pharmacy services contracting and medication services on behalf of LTPAC operators. These focus groups are designed for practicing pharmacists and industry leaders who fit the group’s descriptions. Sales representatives will not be permitted to attend or audit focus group meetings, unless as part of a pre-arranged sponsorship.LTC Pharmacy OperatorsThis is a group of pharmacy managers, owners and executives. It’s a great networking opportunity for pharmacy executives to discuss operational challenges and opportunities, for example, working with EHR companies. These focus groups are designed for practicing pharmacists and industry leaders who fit the group’s descriptions. Sales representatives will not be permitted to attend or audit focus group meetings, unless as part of a pre-arranged sponsorship.Grassroots NetworkASCP's Grassroots Network is a members-only communications platform designed to engage in ASCP's advocacy initiatives and seek opportunities to meet with Congressional members, their staff, and important stakeholders on critical issues.
