Awards

Each year ASCP’s Awards program honors and acknowledges outstanding individuals and companies from our profession. Award finalists and winners are honored during the ASCP Annual Meeting & Exhibition’s Richard Berman Leadership Awards Reception.

You may nominate yourself or someone else. Only nominees submitted from April 1-April 15, 2020 will be considered for this year's ASCP awards. Please note: Select awards may have a secondary, more thorough application process for nominees.

George F. Archambault Award

The 2020 George F. Archambault Award recipient is Todd Semla, M.S., Pharm.D., BCPS, FCCP, AGSF

The Archambault awardee is selected by a vote of past Archambault Award recipients based on the award qualifications and the information submitted to ASCP with the nomination package. The decision of the past award recipients will be final and without appeal. ASCP will notify all award nominees of the outcome of their nominations by October 1.

To honor George F. Archambault, ASCP developed the Archambault Award. George F. Archambault is considered the "father of consultant pharmacy" and this award is considered to be the Society's highest honor. Both a pharmacist and a lawyer, Archambault was the Washington editor of Drug Intelligence and Clinical Pharmacy and a pharmacy and drug distribution systems consultant to hospitals and related institutions. In addition, he maintained a private law practice. Before his death on January 1, 2001, Archambault devoted almost 70 years to pharmacy service, receiving nearly every major award in American pharmacy.
