|March Madness! A Quick Update from the CEO|
Frank Grosso, RPh
Since my last blog, a lot has been going on, so it’s time for an update.
At the ASCP Annual Meeting, I announced that we would transition to a new CEO during 2018! And as you’ve seen from the press release, we will soon welcome incoming CEO, Chad Worz. I’ve worked with Chad for many years and known him to be a strong ASCP leader. We are excited to work together as we transition the Society and staff from one leader to the next. It’s an important time for ASCP’s future and I’m proud to work with Chad as he prepares to continue moving the society forward into that bright future.
But don’t think you can get rid of me so easily! Chad and I have big plans for the 2018 ASCP Forum. The concept of a Forum that focuses on business and entrepreneurship was a vision I had 4 years ago, and it has grown ever since. In previous years, we have discussed preparing for change and readying our profession. Now, in 2018, some of those changes are here, and we will focus on ADAPTING to health care changes and ACCELERATING our profession.
2018 Forum sessions not only focus on regulations within long-term care, but they explore the opportunities for pharmacy practice in the community—where most seniors will increasingly age in place. This year’s Forum also features four focus groups that, for the first time, are open to all applicable attendees. [Click here to watch a video of my description of the focus groups!]
Why should YOU come to the Forum?
I want to thank all of the Forum’s current sponsors. Platinum sponsors include: MHA, Omnicare, Pharmerica and Senior Care Pharmacy Coalition. Silver sponsors: Smith Drug Company and Bronze sponsors including: DocsInc and TabulaRasa Health Care. Visit ascp.com/forum to learn more about supporting or exhibiting at the Forum.
I hope to see you May 17-18 in Arlington, Virginia at the Forum. Please join me and Chad for this exciting event! Learn more at ascp.com/forum.
I will write again soon. In the meantime, I can always be reached at email@example.com.
