An abstract is a brief summary (300 words or fewer) of the important points described in a poster presentation. Abstracts can be divided into two broad categories:
Category 1: Those that report the results of research and evaluative studies (Research Reports, Research-in-Progress, Encore Presentations, Descriptive Reports)
Category 2: Descriptions of new, improved, or innovative activities or services that would be of interest to other practitioners. This may include reports from ASCP State Chapters and affiliated organizations.
