Membership

ASCP members are updated in the MED-PASS system every Monday. You may browse the MED-PASS store at any time. To purchase products at the member rate, sign in to ascp.com and navigate to MED-PASS through the Resources section of the website or by going to www.med-pass.com. There is an ASCP tab at the top to access ASCP specific products. Add your selection to the cart and check out. If this is your first time purchasing, you will need to create a MED-PASS account by clicking “Register” and then following the prompts to continue. Keep your ASCP member number handy so you can enter it in the appropriate field.



Receipts are emailed from the system upon payment to the email address on file. You can also access payment receipts at any time through the Payments & History tab in your profile.

All attendees must have an account with ASCP in order to register for an ASCP meeting. ASCP membership includes discounted meeting registration. You can learn more about becoming a member here. For those who wish to register as a non-member, a link to the non-member join page is listed on each registration page.

When you register for a meeting, you will be asked to sign in if you are not already. Follow the prompts to complete your registration. After registration, you will receive two emails – a confirmation email with your registration details and an email that contains your payment receipt.

Your member number and expiration date appears in a couple different places on your profile.

You can also access your membership number by following these steps:

  1. Under your Accounts & Settings (drop down menu under your name) – it its listed under Profile information.
  2. Under Quick Links and Renew My Membership – this screen includes a link to download your digital membership card that contains both your member/account ID and your expiration date.
  3. Your expiration date also appears on your ASCP Now enewsletter.


Your NABP ID and BCGP Credential numbers (if applicable) can be updated along with other contact information in your profile by signing in, navigating to your profile either through the What’s Hot page or by clicking the purple link at the top of the page, and finally clicking the edit pencil icon in your profile

Education

Once you log in, click on the “profile” tab. Scroll all the way down to the “Education Requirement” section and fill in NABP number and please be sure to click save.

Handouts are provided for Live Boot Camp and Annual courses as well as ASCP home study courses. Please see below on how to access handouts based on course type.

Live Boot Camp/Live Annual Meeting – there are no handouts within the package/session evaluations. Links to handouts are sent directly to attendees prior to the live event.

Home-Study courses – applies to self-study courses, webinars, home-study versions of live events. Handouts are provided within each module and are accessible for learners to print/save up until the course’s expiration date. To access handouts in the module:

  1. Open/Launch the course
  2. Click the printer icon to print OR
  3. Click the arrow icon to download

  1. Navigate to ascp.com
  2. Click “Learning” from the navigation bar at the top of the page
  3. Click “Browse Catalog” from the course catalog
  4. scroll all the way down until you see a tag labeled, “Florida Approved Consultant Pharmacist Activities”

All activities under this section has been approved for FL Consultant CE. Please read all course content in its entirety before purchase.

NABP/CPE Monitor

As of July 2012, all reporting of CE completed (live or online) with ASCP is done electronically. For this to work properly, you must have your NABP/CPE Monitor e-profile id number and your date of birth accurately entered into your ASCP profile – adding your CPE e-profile unique identifier number and your birthday (MMDD format). Don't forget to submit/save the information once you enter it. This transfer of CE is automatic if everything is correctly submitted, but can take up to 24-48 hours. Learners must check your CPE monitor within 24-48 hours after course completion to ensure credits have been posted.

BPS

BCGP Pharmacists: In order for BCGP courses to post to the BPS Portal, your ASCP profile must be updated with your BCGP Credential Number and email address registered with BPS. **Email address must be identical in both accounts. If completed BCGP courses have not shown up in your BPS profile, contact education@ascp.com.

Learning Center

Make sure you are using your ascp.com username and password. Do NOT create a second account if you cannot remember your username and password. Instead, call us at 703-739-1300 and ask for someone in membership.

All learning courses are delivered through a web browser that requires reliable internet connection. All courses contain a PDF handout to download, the learning activity, and an evaluation to complete. Some courses have a post-test to submit. The courses range from interactive slides with no audio to recordings of our live activities with audio. Because of these different components, please make sure the below are up-to-date for your best learning experience:

Plug-Ins: This means you are missing an updated version of Adobe Flash player. This is the program that "plays" the course content.

**ASCP recommends using the latest versions of the software listed for the highest protection against security risks**

Once you log in, click on the "My Learning" tab. On the "Active" tab, you will see the courses that you are currently enrolled in and working to complete. After a course is successfully finished, it will move over to the "Completed" tab. Select the drop-down arrow to find the courses that you've completed each year, your certificate of completion and your granted credits. You can also click "Transcript" in the top right for a PDF version to record keeping.

Bookmark our webinar page to plan for all upcoming live webinars. Make sure you are logged into your ASCP account and select the course that you want to register for. If there is payment associated with the course, you must submit this at time of registration. You will receive email reminders of the webinar with the link to participate. Once the webinar is complete, you will find the evaluation on your "Active" tab of your "My Learning" Center. This must be completed within 60 days of attending the live activity. If you miss a webinar, a recording will be posted on the 1st day of the following month.

During our webinars, the speakers will have polling questions to discuss with attendees. Simply go to ascp.com/webinar-qa from any web browser on your computer, tablet or mobile device, select "ASCP Webinar" and wait for the polling questions to generate throughout the presentation. You can also ask questions by selecting the "plus" sign. All responses and questions are completely anonymous.

Use our Course Catalog tab to search for courses that you are interested in purchasing. If you know of a specific course, you can type the name in the search bar. If you are browsing, use the tags on the left-side panel to navigate the options. Please note the importance of selecting "Clear" if you are moving onto a new topic. Once you find the course(s) of interest, click the "BUY NOW" option to proceed to your cart. You can add multiple items to your cart by returning to the Course Catalog and then checkout. You can always retrieve your invoices on your ASCP profile under the third tab "Payments & History".

Courses may be refunded up to 30 days post-purchase. You will not be eligible for a refund if any part of the presentation has been accessed.

It depends on the course. CPE Only courses are available for 365 days or their expiration date, whichever comes first. There is a shorter expiration date of BCGP courses. As of June 1st, 2016, the Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy (CCGP) requires a 6-month expiration on all courses for Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) recertification by professional development. Please check each individual course for their expiration date before proceeding.

Technical Support/Communications

As a member of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacist you don't have to activate a personal subscription to view articles from The Senior Care Pharmacist® articles. Just follow the instructions below for full access.

Access The Senior Care Pharmacist® online in three easy steps:

  1. Login as a member on www.ascp.com
  2. Under Resources click on Journal
  3. On the right side under the image of the journal click on READ THE JOURNAL. This will redirect you to Ingenta, where you will be able to view The Senior Care Pharmacist®.

Meetings

Each meeting registration section identifies the refund and cancellation policy. Refund requests should be submitted to ASCP in writing to info@ascp.com. In most cases, there is a cancellation fee and cancellation deadline date listed on the meeting event site
